 A member of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) and the Professional Photographers of BC(PPABC) John has won numerous awards provincially and nationally. In August 2000 John was awarded the Craftsman of Photographic Arts (CPA) from the Professional Photographers of Canada. The presentation took place in Montreal at the national convention where John also won the best in show in the editorial/news category. One photograph "Sunset in the March" will appear in the 2000 Kodak Gallery Award book to be released later this year. In January 2002 John received his Master of Photographic Arts (MPA) from the Professional Photographers of Canada. The award is the culmination of six years of study, competition prints entries and community involvement. In 2003 John received a number of awards including the PPABC Best Wedding Group sponsored by Real Weddings Magazine as well as 1st place in feature photography from the British Columbia Newspaper Association (BCYNA) for Feature Photography. In March John received the Nikon Digital Capture ''Award of Excellence" for portraiture at the 2004 PPABC convention in Richmond where he was one of the nomineees for PPABC Photographer of the Year" |
